Abstract

The growing digital interconnectivity and the advancement of information technologies bring significant challenges with regard to data protection in educational institutions. This study aims to propose the implementation of information security policies at the Instituto Superior Politécnico Internacional de Angola. An academic institution facing the challenge of ensuring the protection of critical information in its network infrastructure. Through the analysis of existing vulnerabilities, it was sought to develop and recommend security measures in line with national and international standards, in order to mitigate risks and strengthen information protection. Given the strategic relevance of information security for the academic environment, the work analyzed the existing vulnerabilities and proposed security measures based on the ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002 standards.
