Rural Tourism in the Municipality of Dande in Bengo Province in the Year 2023

This article analyzes rural tourism in the Municipality of Dande in Bengo Province in 2023. The research was motivated by the relevance of rural tourism in Angola, which emerges as a driving force in promoting sustainable development, exploring the richness of landscapes and ethnic and cultural diversity. Rural tourism presents itself as a unique opportunity to boost economic growth, preserve traditions, and foster social inclusion in Angolan rural communities. The overall objective is to describe the characteristics of rural tourism in Bengo Province, specifically the Municipality of Dande, characterizing the tourist area and identifying the predominant type of tourism in the region. The methodology employed deductive-inductive logical methods, analysis-synthesis, and statistical methods as a procedural method, allowing for the testing of the validity of information about the phenomenon under study. A quantitative approach was used, based on a questionnaire survey applied to 32 tourists who visited the location. Data processing was carried out using descriptive statistics with the aid of Microsoft Excel. The research identified the predominant type of rural tourism in the municipality and determined the origin of the tourists who visited the municipality of Dande in 2023.
