Abstract

The complexity of the functioning of institutions presents several challenges. The issue of conflict resolution is part of the challenges faced by institutions. For this reason, this article aims to analyze the role of leadership in the conflict management process in organizations. This is a bibliographical research based on a survey of scientific articles, books and various documents that address the process of leadership and conflict management. In the literature review, conflict concepts, their categories, levels and causes were presented, as well as leadership definitions, styles and theories. Through the authors consulted, we were able to understand that the leader plays a fundamental role in managing conflicts at different levels of management and this responsibility is shared by everyone. It is important to manage conflicts in order to maintain a good working climate.
