Artificial Intelligence and the Theories of Complexity and Chaos: Critical Reflections for a Contemporary Criminology in an Angolan Context
Keywords:
Artificial Intelligence, Criminology, Security Policies, Theory of Chaos, Theory of ComplexityAbstract
This article proposes an interdisciplinary reflection between Artificial Intelligence (AI), Complexity Theory, and Chaos Theory, aiming to better understand the challenges of crime in contemporary society. Based on a theoretical and critical analysis, the study argues that traditional models of crime comprehension are insufficient to address the chaotic, adaptive, and systemic nature of social reality. By highlighting the unpredictability of criminal phenomena and the need for more holistic approaches, the article suggests that AI can be a strategic tool for crime prevention and management, especially in Angolan urban contexts. This qualitative, bibliographic research advocates for a new criminological epistemology based on interconnection, large-scale data analysis, and continuous adaptation.
