Keywords:
Angola, multilingualism, language policyAbstract
This work is the result of the seminar, in the curricular unit on Language, Society, Education and Public Educational Policies, which aims to contribute to the teaching of multilingualism in Angola; analyze Angolan language policy; suggest the implementation of the multilingual teaching model, looking at the Angolan languages of Bantu origin. Since this is a descriptive-bibliographical study, official documents of Angola were used, that is, the Constitution of the Republic of Angola, the Basic Law of the Education and Teaching System, data from the Population Census published by the National Statistics Institute (INE). These documents allowed us to evaluate and analyze the place of Angolan languages of Bantu origin. For the scientific framework of the study, we intended to elect the theory of linguistic variationism, which allowed us to look at a heterogeneous and non-homogeneous proposal, given the specificity of the country.
