GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

"FARMHOUSE Science & Technology" publishes original articles (a unique result for their characteristics of originality, such as the results of master's dissertations or doctoral theses), review (theoretical-methodological foundations of processes, reviews of scientific trends or theoretical and methodological or similar positions), academic essays (opinionated texts to discuss a particular topic, of theoretical and scientific relevance,  based on theoretical books, magazines, published articles, among others) and book review (informative, descriptive and opinionated text about a particular work).

The contribution must be original and unpublished, and may not have been published or be being evaluated by another journal.

The journal is published every six months, but this does not inhibit the possibility of the publication of special editions, whenever justified.

Its publications are carried out in three languages, namely Portuguese, English and Spanish.

The journal has a multidisciplinary approach, with a broad spectrum covering the Social and Human Sciences, the Exact and Engineering Sciences and the Medical Sciences.

The works must be submitted in docx format, with a maximum of twenty (20) pages and a minimum of seven (7), (including graphs and tables) and must develop the theme in depth with a clear and intelligible style, but with scientific rigor. The text of the article must be formatted according to the standards: sheet A4, Times New Roman font of 12 points, 1.5 of space between lines, 2.5 cm of margins, 6 points of spacing between paragraphs, justified text and paged at the top, to the right side.

 The articles must be accompanied by a cover sheet containing:

  • The title of the work, without the word "Title";
  • The name of the author(s);
  • Title of the author(s);
  • Higher Education Institution (or other) to which the author belongs; Country;
  • email;
  • Telephone;
  • ORCID code;
  • Type of publication. Original (__), Review (___), Essay (___), Review (___).

Structure of the articles results of original works:

Title: must be written in the original language of the article, in capital letters and shouted, in English, in lowercase letters; but with capital initial letter and bold and in Spanish or in Portuguese depending of the case in the same way. Always properly justified and without end point. (The word title should not be included).

Authors: authors should not be identified in any part of the text of the article (only on the cover page), to ensure anonymity among the evaluators. The limit number of authors is five.

Abstract: in the original language of the article, in English (Abstract), and in Spanish or Portuguese the case. It should contain only 250 words in a single paragraph and should essentially be a synthesis of the problem addressed, declaring the objective and a brief reference to the study population and mentioning the importance of the research.

Keywords, Palabras Clave or Palavras chaves (between 3 and 5), inserted just below the abstract, in alphabetical order, separated by semicolons and finalized by period.

Introduction: addressing the problematic situation, the problem and its rationale. Using verbal resources and connectors, refer to the object of study, objectives and hypotheses, but directly express these elements. Refer to relevant methods in the study and the explanation of how is used such methods in the investigation. Explain the population and sample concisely and supported by data. The place where the study was conducted, the sampling technique used, as well as; the type of study that is exposed.

Development: the data will be presented objectively and clearly; the analysis of the results will be done with the use of tables and graphs that clearly and in detail display the search result.

Conclusions: these will be listed, directly, short ly and directly related to the title, objectives and results of the work; more than one conclusion should appear. Recommendations: (optional): in correspondence with the conclusions.

Bibliographic References: According to the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition. All authors mentioned in the text, and only them, must be present in the bibliographic references, with the complete information. After bibliographic references, no other structure (attachments and images) will be shown.

Tables and figures will be included in the body of the article according to the text, referring to the title of the figure or chart at the top of them in the letter Time New Roman 12 and bold. Tables and figures will appear properly centered, including their subtitles, for their inclusion in the text of the article. Authors must ensure that the images, tables and other materials of other authors used in their works do not have copyright protection or that they are granted for use, reproduction, dissemination in different media, digital and printed. The content submitted and published is the responsibility of the authors.

Bold will not be used in parts of the text other than structures (title, abstract, keywords, introduction, population and samples, results analysis, completion, and bibliographic references). It will be used italics to write foreignisms and/or Latinisms, as well as the recoil at the beginning of each paragraph, according to The APA standards.

In the case of review articles, academic essays and book reviews, the traditional typology of scientific articles can be welcomed: Introduction, Development, Conclusions and Bibliographic References.
