Didactic Alternative for the Practical Teaching of Physics in Engineering Courses

This article aims at the implementation of a didactic alternative to address the lack of physics laboratories in Angolan higher education institutions; particularly at the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Science and Technology (INSUTEC). The purpose is to show how through contextualized exercises, which take into account physical phenomena of everyday life, it is possible to reach the pragmatization of physical knowledge and develop discipline skills with high quality. The alternative is supported by a master's thesis defended and validated in educational practice. Four stages were taken into account for its development: diagnosis, planning, execution and evaluation of skills. The methods used allowed the evaluation of the level achieved in the acquisition of physical knowledge by students, the development of skills in the resolution of exercises and the role of guidance in preparing students to perform exercises with a high level of demand. The alternative was implemented in the Computer Engineering course of INSUTEC and the results in educational practice show its viability in the Angolan educational context.
